King Eyes is here! What's Next?
Hey everyone! If you subscribe to my newsletter, you would have received a notice this past Monday that King Eyes is now live on my website and available for download through Bookfunnel! I'm so excited to be able to share this story with everyone. Dalon and Kari, and the challenges they face, are quite different from any I've written before. But I'm hoping that their story resonates with you.

Yes, I know it's been seven months since my last update on my current work in progress. But the first half of this year has brought me some challenges, including a few health issues in the family and a packed preparation for a two-week long trip to the Philippines. Unfortunately it rarely left me with the energy to be creative.
Kari Sketches
Happy new year, everyone! I hope the last couple of weeks have gone well for you so far. I really appreciated easing back into the swing of things, and leaving the more harried aspects of the holiday behind. I know, I know, I said in my previous post that I wasn't going to be a holiday-cynic anymore. But! I think it's also okay to accept that the holidays require unique effort and energy from us, and it's alright to admit that it can be overwhelming. Here's to quieter, more peaceful days!
I Joined NaNoWriMo
So I joined NaNoWriMo this year. I'm as surprised as you are. Even in October when I was watching preptober videos, I was pretty convinced I wouldn't participate in NaNo this year. Considering the turtle's pace I've maintained since August on writing King Eyes, I thought participating would be moot. But a few days before November 1, I was starting to feel dissatisfied with my story -- or the part of it I've written so far -- that I thought maybe NaNo would be the push I needed just to get the first draft done and over with.
First Look at King Eyes
Hi folks! King Eyes is the novella I'm currently working on, and I'd like to share some of the work that I've been developing the last month for this project. I mentioned in a previous post that I would be pivoting to a cozy fantasy series of novellas, and King Eyes would be the first installment of that.
